Besides the impressive history of the building – a palace that has been donated to this precise scope by the richest man in Romania in the interwar period – you will find some amazing art inside. I would mention the sculpture SARUTUL (THE KISS) by Brancusi, the first modern sculpture in the world; or the wonderful painting CAR CU BOI (CART WITH OXEN) by Grigorescu which has the same effect as Mona Lisa: you have the impression that the oxen are coming to you regardless the point you are watching them.
